Return to Training

 Welcome Back Cadets


We hope everyone had a safe and exciting summer and are looking forward to welcoming you all back


Staff and our Sergeants and above are asked to return for a planning session 8 Sept 2022 19:00 - 21:00hrs

Civilian dress for this session.  Please bring pen, paper and your schedules


All cadets will officially return to training 12 Sept 2022, Regular training times 18:30 - 21:00hrs.

Dress will be FTU's for all cadets, if something no longer fits please bring it with you.

We are still training at the Ansel Armoury 280 Bloomfield Rd, Chatham

If you have updates to your personal information, ei New home Address, new Health Card number, New contact information please be sure it have those details with you.

ROCKET DAY!!

Cadets will be launching the Rockets they built!!

Read details closely the training location is different

Time: Monday 13 Jun 2022; 18:30hrs
Location: Thames Grove Conservation Area (map Below)
Dress:  Cadets - FTU
            Staff - CADPat
Requirements: Masks Required

Special notes:  Staff will bring:      The rockets built by cadets 2 weeks ago.
                                                        Engines for rockets  
                                                        The Launch Pad
                                                        The Launch Controller

                        Cadets will bring:  Smiles and good attitudes!!

                        Parents are welcome to stay and watch, we must continue to respect CCO/PHM social                                 distancing requirements

                        Training (launching rockets) is expected take approximately 1Hr

Annual Ceremonial Review

As our year comes to a close we will be hosting our Annual Ceremonial Review.

As restrictions continue to lift we are pleased to announce that parents are invited.

Since the event is taking place at the Ansell Armoury (a Federal facility) are requirement that visitors must be double vaccinated still exists 

This event will take place Monday, 6 Jun 2022

Time: Cadets and parents to arrive at 1830 ACR will start at 1900

Dress: C1A for cadets, 1A for DND pers, Business casual for guest

Parade should not take more than 1 hour

Promotions and presentations will be made during the parade

We look forward to seeing everyone there

Globemaster Flight Details

For those cadets who signed up for the Globemaster familiarization flight in London

Date: 7 May 2022
Time: NTL 08:00hrs
Meeting Point for Bus Pickup: Bloomfield Truck Stop (22216 Bloomfield Rd, Chatham, ON N7M 5J6)
Requirements: Health Card - No Health Card no access to bus
                        Uniform: Dress is FTU's or 3B - No uniform no access to bus
                        Mask
                        Successful completion of Covid-19 Screener (Green Check Mark)
Recommended: Bagged lunch (be ensure it meets typical school requirements for allergy safety)

Special Notes: No set schedule has been provided for flight or return times at this point.   Cadets will call when leaving London and provide and ETA.  Please ensure cadets have a valid and monitored number to be able to contact you.

Here is the link to the sign up for an opportunity for a flight on the C17 Globemaster or the C-130 Hercules.


Please note that sign a up does not guarantee a flight, these are operational aircraft that can be called to active duty at a moments notice.  Covid restrictions and billet restrictions may also effect flights.

Return to in-person

ANNOUNCEMENT 

Cadets will be returning to in person training on 7 March 2022. We look forward to seeing everyone at the armouries on Bloomfield in Chatham.

Dress: C1 dress if possible, bring things that do not fit. Or dress nicely if nothing fits or have not yet been issued a uniform.

Timings: 1830-2100 hrs

Vaccinations: at this time the facility requires everyone to be double vaccinated.

A black reusable mask will be provided upon arrival and expected to be worn every week.

Standard covid screening will be done each night. Stay home if you are feeling unwell.

Cooking/Baking Class Options for 7 March 2022

Each Cadet will be able to pick 1 virtual class and is expected to buy the ingredients needed to participate. A sign-up link is below each recipe

Pancake for One

  • 1/2 cup of all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp of sugar
  • 1/2 tsp of salt
  • 1/8 - 1/4 tsp of baking powder
  • 1 tsp of cooking oil
  • 100mL of milk or water
  • 1 egg

Will need: a pan, spatula, butter/margarine/cooking oil.



Death by Chocolate
  • -1 box of wafer crumbs
  • -Butter
  • -1 package of cream cheese
  • -Sugar
  • -1 tub of frozen Cool whip
  • -4 Skor Bars
  • -Milk
  • -2 Packages of Instant Chocolate pudding
Will need: a 9x11 glass pan or cake pan, Electric mixer, spatula



Easy Cinnamon Rolls with icing
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup white sugar
  • 1 Tbsp Baking Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 Butter or margarine
  • 3/4 cup Milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup butter at Room temperature
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 cup icing sugar (confectioners' sugar)
  • 12 oz cream cheese at room temperature
  • 1/2 tsp Vanilla extract
Will need a rolling pin, 9x13 cake/casserole pan or 12 cups muffin pan, 2 butter knives or pastry blender, electric mixer, oven

These supplies can be collected from Capt Eskritt's Home at 510 Victoria Ave, Chatham.

Please call or text Capt Eskritt at 226-626-5473 before coming to ensure there is someone available, ring bell and wait outside please.

Please do not use supplies prior to the class!!
